FluidLine Oils supplies the full DOW heat transfer fluid range across the Gulf — silicone, synthetic organic and inhibited glycol chemistries. Whether you are running a concentrated solar field at 400°C, a pharmaceutical batch reactor cycling from –80°C to 300°C, or a chilled water loop in a food plant, there is a fluid engineered for the duty.
Held in UAE stock with dispatch across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman — no overseas lead times on standard grades.
Listed by performance tier. Silicone fluids carry the highest initial cost but the longest service life; glycol fluids are the most economical and the safest around food and people.
Polydimethylsiloxane fluids with the longest service life on the market — often 10 years or more without reclaiming. Low fouling, essentially odourless, low acute oral toxicity. The premium specification where downtime costs more than fluid.

DOWFROST · DOWFROST HD
View DOWFROST Range →Above 175°C, specify synthetic organic or silicone. Below 175°C, or where you need freeze protection for a water-based system, an inhibited glycol is usually the right call. Always select a fluid rated above your anticipated bulk temperature.
If the system can sit shut down in cold conditions, viscosity at low temperature decides whether you can restart at all. Silicone fluids change viscosity very little across their range; some DOWTHERM grades have very low crystal points.
All DOWTHERM and SYLTHERM fluids run below steam vapour pressure. DOWTHERM G and RP are the picks where low vapour pressure is a hard requirement — smaller expansion tanks and less specialised equipment.
Look past purchase price. Silicone fluids cost more up front but frequently avoid top-off and change-out entirely. Synthetic organics degrade slowly and need makeup. Hot oils look cheap and rarely are.
Where a leak could reach product, people or potable water, propylene glycol is the safer specification over ethylene glycol. DOWFROST is approved for incidental food contact; DOWFROST HD is not.
If the process cycles hot and cold, one fluid spanning both duties removes flushes and changeovers. DOWTHERM J, SYLTHERM XLT and SYLTHERM HF are the standard answers for batch reactors.
Every grade we supply, sorted by chemistry. Use this to narrow to two or three candidates, then compare properties in detail on the family page.

Properties shown are typical and should not be considered specifications. Glycol operating ranges vary with concentration. Refer to the current Dow technical data sheet for design values.
Start with maximum use temperature. Above 175°C, look at synthetic organic or silicone fluids. Below 175°C, or where you need freeze protection for a water-based system, an inhibited glycol fluid is normally the right answer. Beyond that, silicone fluids offer the longest service life and lowest fouling, synthetic organic fluids reach the highest temperatures and offer vapour phase operation, and glycol fluids are the safest and most economical for low temperature and food contact duty.
DOWTHERM A and SYLTHERM 800 both operate up to 400°C. DOWTHERM A can run in vapour phase as well as liquid phase, from 257°C to 400°C. SYLTHERM 800 covers –40°C to 400°C, the broadest range of any single heat transfer fluid, and can often stay in service for 10 years or more.
Yes. Single-fluid heating and cooling avoids flushing and changeovers between hot and cold duty in batch processing. DOWTHERM J covers –80°C to 315°C in liquid phase, SYLTHERM XLT covers –100°C to 260°C and SYLTHERM HF covers –73°C to 260°C. These are the usual choices for pharmaceutical and fine chemical batch reactors.
